Aya vs Affilist: which one for your mornings?
How we compared: every fact about Aya comes from its App Store listing as read on September 23, 2026: prices, rating, iOS requirement, languages, and what its own description says it does. We haven't installed or measured it, so "not mentioned" means exactly that, not "doesn't exist". Affilist's facts come from our own app. Prices change; check the store before you buy.
What Aya does well
Aya's pitch is a persona: the version of you who already has the life you're manifesting, talking to you every day in her voice. The description is written for a woman reader, and it is a strong hook, with a 4.8 rating from over three thousand people five months after launch. Around the persona sits a whole routine the app calls the Aya Method: affirmations read to you, audio rituals for waking up and winding down, a vision board that also lives on a Home Screen widget, a daily gratitude moment, and offline downloads. Newer versions add custom manifestations in a cloned copy of your own voice. It runs on iOS 15.1 and up, so nearly any iPhone.
What Aya doesn't do, per its listing
Two things, going by the listing. First, there is no alarm: the "audio rituals for waking up" are something you open once you're already awake, and nothing in the description rings, so the sound that actually gets you up is still your Clock app. Second, "your own voice" in Aya means a synthesized copy of it, made by voice cloning, rather than a recording you made yourself; the default narrator is the app's persona. The price is also the highest on this site: $149.99 a year, $29.95 a month or $9.99 a week, plus one-off unlocks for single audios and playlists.

Who should pick which
Pick Aya if the "dream self" idea speaks to you, you want a daily routine with a vision board and gratitude built in, and you're fine with the app's voice or a cloned copy of yours. Pick Affilist if you want the words in your actual recorded voice, written by AI for the situation you describe, in seven languages, and rung as a real alarm through silent mode. Affilist costs $49.99 a year against Aya's $149.99, but requires iOS 26, while Aya runs on almost any iPhone.
Frequently asked questions
Does Aya let you use your own voice?
Partly. The listing describes affirmations read to you by a "dream self" persona, and the 1.5.0 release note adds custom manifestations "in your own voice with voice cloning". So it's a synthesized copy of your voice rather than a recording you play back. Affilist plays the recording you made.
Does Aya have a wake-up alarm?
The listing mentions "audio rituals for waking up" but no alarm, and nothing that rings. Those rituals are sessions you open after you're awake. Affilist's alarm is an AlarmKit system alarm that rings with your recording through silent mode, with Stop and Listen buttons.
How much does Aya cost?
As listed on September 23, 2026: $9.99 a week (or $5.99 with a 3-day trial, or $7.49 on a "25% off" offer), $29.95 a month, $149.99 a year, plus single audios at $1.99, playlists at $4.99 and "instant episodes" at $4.99 or $19.99. Affilist's yearly plan is $49.99. Prices change; check the store.
Aya or Affilist for mornings?
If you want something to wake you with your own recorded voice, Affilist: it's a real alarm. Aya's morning content is a ritual you open once you're up, spoken by its persona or a cloned copy of your voice. If you like Aya's vision board and gratitude routine, nothing stops you from using both.
